brother MFC-9600 vista 64 print drivers not working

Was anyone able to get help with the MCF-9600 blank page printing
problem? I am also having the same problem. I tried the proposed
solution of installing the native MFC-9700 driver but my system wouldn't
complete the install. I also made sure to update vista before I did
anything. Alan or Rick (or anybody) any advice?

If the download from Brother
(http://welcome.solutions.brother.com...=English&dlid=)
is an exe file, use WinRar (www.rarlabs) to extract it, and then use the Add
Printer Wizard. When asked for the location of the driver, point it to the
folder WinRar created and at the *.inf file inside that folder.

I just purchased a new laptop with Vista 64bit and am having the sam
problem with the MFC-9600 printing blank pages. I tried what I though
was the fix but that didn't seem to work. Can someone provide me wit
some direction? I am obviously doing something wrong. Thanks
