Canon bj-10sx error

I just bought a bj-10sx from ebay to use it as "camping printer".
Unfortunately the following happens (when doing self-test, when trying to
print etc.):
The printer head moves, goes back, the power led is on, the error led is
blinking and it's continuously beeping. The handbook says in this
case: "The head is not back in its home position. switch off and wait for 4
seconds".
I do this and next time ... the same.

That means ... this holidays no camping printer :-(
Does anyone had perhaps the same error and knows how to get rid of it?
