Cartridge capacities

Is there a site that lists the capacity of various brands of cartridges? I
have an i9950 and an R800 and I want to compare OEM to my aftermarket brand
of choice - JetTec. Neither OEM, nor JetTec list the capacities of their
cartridges on their respective websites, and the new JT tanks boast "30%
extra free!" and I want to know exactly what that means, a) with respect to
the two OEM brands and b) to the old JT tanks that didn't make such a claim.

I have a huge job to do and I need to know how much to charge the client, so
if I can say that I can get x number of cards out of a set of 15ml
cartridges (roughly obviously, as each colour will be used a different
amount).

Thanks

Is it possible to obtain bulk ink from your supplier? By refilling your own
cartridges, you would be able to know exactly how much ink is used. In the
US bulk ink is easy and inexpensive to obtain. I don't know if it is as
readily available in GB. When JetTec says 30% more free, have they reduced
the sponge area to increase the ink reservoir?

It's complicated to compare the consumption of two series of cartridges.
If you have a weight scale you can do the following:
Weight a full cartridge and a totaly empty one. So you will have the weight
of the consumed ink of a whole cartridge. Even if the specific gravity of
different inks is different, it's a good assumption to thing the same
specific gravity (almost all inks are 1.01 to 1.10 ml/g, most inks in the
range of 1.02 to 1.07).

If you measure the above values for both oem and jt inks, please drop them
in this ng.

If you want to estimate the ink consumption follow this formula
http://inkjet.myservice.gr/inkjet/ne...nkconsume.html

May I suggest you ask Canon and/or JetTec. I had a similar problem
when trying to work out the benefits of a CIS system with my Epson
2100. The company I use, Permajet, had the ink volumes of Epson
cartridges on record (14ml in this case).

The JetTec site does list exactly what this means:
http://www.jettec.co.uk/news_press.asp
The patented technology releases the normally wasted 30% of ink when the
printer decides a swap is needed.
The cartridges contain 13 ml ink and this is mentioned on site for many of
the cartridges such as the C66/86 etc.

JetTec has developed 30% more ink technology only for SPECIFIC cartridges.
Not all cartridges contains 30% more. You KNOW it, only these that mention
it in the box package. If I am correct only a few older Epson cartridge
models contains 30% more ink, like T028/T029, T040/T041, etc.
