Dell 1600n all-in-one Laser Printer

Hello,
The company I work for has recently purchased a Dell 1600n all-in-one
Laser Printer. There are a couple if issues we are having with this
MFP.
1. I don't know if it's something I'm doing, but I can't seem to scan
in a multi-page document into a combined PDF file… When scanning in
multi-page documents through the ADF, it converts each page to its own
PDF file (ie: if I scan a 10 page document, I get 10 seperate PDF
files).
2. Can we set up a Custom Button on the front panel? How? If so,
can we get it to do all/any of the following: Scans in a multi-page
document through the ADF, convert the scanned document to PDF, and
save it to a default directory?
