dell printer

Got a problem installing printer on a Dell pc.

This pc has had several different printers installed.

Suddenly, there is no printer installed, and trying to install, I get the
error that no print spooler is running.

Is this something I have to go back to a restore point to recover? Or is
there something simpler I can do?

If I may add,.....

Then go into settings, control panel, and delete every printer that is
listed.

THEN install yours.
