Epson LQ-590 usb driver does not work

My print job seems to get stuck at the print queue and hangs my pc when I try
to print something. I'm running on Vista Business edition.

No error message from the printer. I cannot delete the job from the print
queue. I will have to re-start my printer/remove my usb cable for it to work.
The worst case is that it hangs my pc and I will have to do a reboot.

I've installed the default usb driver from Windows. Any idea what went wrong?

The Inbox driver (the one included in Vista but provided by Epson) seems to
be all there is. Is the printer USB or do you have an LPT to USB adapter
cable?

It's a direct usb connection
