faxing w/analog internal w/cable external

Im running with an analog internal modem and a cable
external modem, I've faxed before with both of them
hooked up, but its always a pain in the butt. Is there
anyway I can set these up to where I can use the internal
modem for sending and recieving faxes and the external
modem for everything else at the same time? Do I need to
disable my cable modem before I fax something? I'm not
sure how I got them both to work together in the past.

Faxing cannot use a cable modem, so it would not even be in play.
Just configure fax to use your analog modem. That's all it would ever try to
use anyway. It couldn't care less that you also have a cable modem.
