HP versus Brother

I am looking for a cheap b&w laser printer for an old XP system. Only
a few pages of text per week will be printed.

I have locally the Brother HL-2140 on sale for $59.98, and the HP P1006
at $99.98 to choose from.

Opinions?
Alternatives?
