IP 4500: view ink levels w/ OS X

I can not see ink levels on an IP 4500 from a Mac running OS X. When
I click on "supply levels," it reads "information not available."
Funny, I have a OS X Mac at home with a different Canon IP printer,
and I can see the ink levels on that.

Any ideas about how to see the ink levels via computer? Now, I try to
inspect the carts on a regular basis.
