Hello,

This is my first time here and I'm hoping you can help me. I just purchased
yesterday the Canon i950 after hearing many good reviews. I first tried
printing some 4" x 6" borderless prints with the Easy Photoprint software and
the Canon pro paper, my first impression was I was very pleased with how fast
the photo printed, but the quality was not great at all. Especially considering
all the raves I heard. So I tried printing a larger size photo through
Photoshop and the quality was much better, then I also noticed that the
settings for the print quality were adjusted. I realized there is no option to
fix the print quality in Easyprint. Is there a way to fix this? Is there
another program that I can print borderless prints from?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Christine

You can print borderless from any program. When you go to print, hit
the "printer" box and it will take you to the printer driver settings.
In there, you can set your paper, resolution and even go into custom
to set the very FINE printing basically for super fine photos.

Just click through the tabs in the driver software and you will find
all the options. There are also profiles. you can set all the
settings you like for a particular paper, etc etc then save it into a
file. You can then select that file and it will load all the
settings. Very handy dandy feature.

Its not particularly the software you are printing from but its the
drivers that ya gotta adjust for the paper and resolution. If you do
not set it during the print, It will then use the default settings
which most likely sound like "plain paper" from the installation.

Good luck and play around.

Hi Christine,
I did the same when I got my i9100 and found the results to be great. But as
for setting quality, look under the File menu, Preferences option. In the
Print section, there's a Quality setting which is either Default or Quality
Priority. I haven't tried QP as Default was fine, but YMMV.

When printing with PhotoShop, always select Photo Paper Pro and you should
be set!

Good luck.
