OKI c 3100 reset

Hello!
Since a few weeks my printer ( oki c3100) delivers the message "drum near life".
Every page is printed in the usual quality.
Is there any way to avoid spending 80€ on a new drum?
Does anyone know how to reset the drum counters of a c3100?
I think the major problem is that there is no display to control the printer.
