Pixma MP600 Paper feed

If I want to print by paper tray (there is enough paper in it!), the
printer automatically switches to the manual paper feed, where there
is, lets say, no paper. Such, I cannot print.

Doing the self-test of the printer, it correctly chose the paper tray
to print out the self test.
In paper source, paper feed switch is selected, so this should not be
the problem.

What can I do to resolve it?

Go into the driver toolbox under printing preferences and select auto
continuous feed from the paper source dropdown box.

Both trays should be of the same size paper and type for this to work.
