printing notifications

Hi folks,
I am trying to set up Windows XP Pro current update to notify me when my
network printer finishes printing my document. I have abided by the
instructions from KB article 308217. I don't get the printer icon in my task
tray in the bottom left when I print either. I have restored the defaults for
that area as well and still nothing. I imagine if that printing icon showed
up in the task tray I would get those notifications back. Anyone have any
ideas? Thanks!

you will need to enable the File and Print sharing port in the Windows
firewall for the notification to pass through to the client.
