bluegirl try this maybe it will work click on start-
setting-printer select propeties go to the port tab
virtues usb printer port .if it dose not say usb then
click on the drop down menu and slect it from the list.if
some reason the usb is not listedin this menu,you will
need toinstall it. open your device manager.if you have a
question mark by inkjet color printer, select inkjet
colorprinter and click on remove.once it has removed it
click on refresh andtnen click on close.the computer
sholud at this point reload the driver correctly. go
backto the printer's folder and change the port from lpt1
or file to usb.hope this help
