Problem Using Roll/Banner Paper On An Epson 1290 Printer

Can anyone explain to me why I'm unable to print more than just a
section of an image on my Epson 1290 printer (and OS 10.3) when loaded
with roll/banner paper?

The image I've been trying to print is around 36 inches long and 7
inches high, but I only seem to get a short section from the middle of
the image. Using Print Preview shows the image fitting correctly on the
paper - but that's not how it prints out.

I've tried printing under OS 9, but that only seems to produce a
smaller version of the image, not the full size.

Unfortunately, the Epson manual is pretty sketchy on setting up under
OSX - could anyone offer me a step-by step guide?

Thanks in advance....

NigeLord

(Incidentally, printing with any other type/size of paper works fine...)

That doesn't work on an Epson 2200 either. The driver is so buggy it's
unusable.

Try creating a custom paper size that's 7x36. Sometimes that works in
the 2200. Sometimes it shrinks the image but feeds the full length of
paper. It's pretty unreliable.
