(This is a follow-up to a post I made here on the 4th of January, but
my server doesn't still have the thread, so this may appear as a new
thread.)
I wrote then:

And asked for suggestions. Various were made. (Google groups doesn't
seem to be carrying the whole thread, as I recall it...)
What I tried was sugar soap to clean the rubber pickup roller, and
this has improved things dramatically - I have only had one misfeed
since cleaning the rollers.
