Hello,

How much of a difference does the specialty color laserjet paper make? Most
of the time if I was going to want specialty printouts it would be on legal
sized pages but I don't see any legal size at HP or Xerox.

Thanks

HP have a soft gloss paper that they do in both A4 and US size (one of
the part numbers ends in a the other in b, something in the back of my
mind says C4179 or Q but that could be completely wrong!)

Xerox's Colortech papers include a glossy range, which comes in a
variety of sizes.

Thanks - I don't believe A4 is the same size as legal.

Does anyone think it makes enough difference to bother purchasing?

Color laser papers are designed with a flatter surface and to absorb
less humidity, so it doesn't warp as much. Some are a bit thicker or
more opaque. They are sometimes whiter, and may have a surface that
holds toner better. In general, the image will look better, by 10-20%
(pretty subjective, actually)...

I would expect someone makes a legal sized color laser paper, although I
admit in my brief Google search I could not find any...

Art.

It depends what you want it for.

Probably worth trying to get hold of some sample paper. Xerox's
Colortech range is available in both matt and gloss. The amount of
difference it makes will depend on your printer. If it has a matt
finish to the ink then it will make less difference than if it has a
glossier finish. What printer have you got?

A froogle for 'xerox glossy laser paper' gives a lot of options as does
'hp soft gloss laser paper'
