Hello. My name's Ian and this is my first post here!

Can anyone help with service mode on a Canon MP272? I moved to the USA 4 years ago and brought my UK printer with me. I'm trying to change the region to region 3 to let me use USA Canon cartridges.

I've tried service mode and the cancel button press combinations with no success. I've also tried the PC based service tool but also without success. Both times the EEPROM doesn't get written to.

Can anyone help?

The next best thing you can do is uninstall the driver, remove the printer from your computer. Download the latest driver at canon support and have use that full feature printer driver to try and change the region.

Thanks Josh. Unfortunately that didn't work either. I can change the settings in service mode as well as print eeprom info and test pages. But as soon as I exit service mode, the default settings return. Does anyone else have any ideas?
