Laser or Ink Jet

Hi

I'm looking into the Officejet Pro 8620 e-All-in-One printer. At the moment I'm using an inkjet printer which I use for printing labels and letters. I have sometimes experienced that the paper get smeared (from the ink) when I fold the letter or attaching the labels to envelopes etc. (i'm attaching the labels by pressing my tumb at one site of the labels and when pulling it over the labels - making sure that it stay on the envelopes etc.).

Is it possible to avoid this smearing when using an Ink Jet printer or must I use a laser printer?
