Warning! Epson Artisan Printers

I am passing along my upset over the malfunctioning of my Epson
Artisan 810 AIO printer. Do with it what you will.

Seems no matter what quality paper I use, and I have tried Staples'
best, the feed tray insists on jamming. It also feeds multiple
sheets of paper at once and thereby prints segments of pages on
multiple pages. I have even had as many as 20 or more sheets feed at
once, jamming inside the printer. requiring much patience and strength
on my part to tear and free the jam which is pretty much out of sight.

I have had to toss much paper as a result. It is getting costly -
especially when I spend the bucks for extra-quality paper.
I have discussed the problem with Epson, and have even had one
replacement, gratis. Same problem.

I will buy another printer now, but you can bet it will not be an
Epson.

My problem may exist with other Artisans (or even other Epsons) - I
certainly would check that out.

I haven't worked with an Artisan myself, but I've used dozens of Epsons.
From time to time I've seen a C84 grab paper at an angle and mangle it.
Cleaning the rubber roller that feeds the paper fixed the situation in every
case. I've also used a product called Roller Rejuvenator by Techspray and
found it works well. One practice I usually follow is when using any premium
inkjet paper is to use it from the same company that makes the printer,
unless the second party paper has already been tested to work with a
specific printer in mind.

Thanks for the warning, and to me you shouldn't by any printer at all
cost.
