Xerox N17 Printer Problem

I have a friend who has a problem with a old Xerox N17 printer he has.
Seems whenever he tries to print multiple copies of a not-trivial
document (flyers, for example) with graphics, his printer fails with a
error. He thinks the printer's buffer is over-filling, and is the
problem.

He gets a "Processing" message for about 20-30 minutes before he
gives up and shuts down and reboots.

Could that be? That is, does the buffer hold all copies being
printed? Or does the buffer hold one copy and prints that over and
over?

Any opinions?

Thanks

Jethro
