API for Lexmark FAX feature

Hi,

does anybody have any information about a possibility to drive the fax feature in Lexmark printers programmatically? Specifically, I have a Lexmark MX511 and I need to send a fax from a program I am developing - nothing fancy, I just need to be able to specify the content as text, and the recipient's number.

Is there an API for faxing using this printer, which I could use? I've looked through the printer's documentation, but haven't found anything on this subject.

Any help or information much appreciated...
