My Artisan 1430 is a like-new machine. I use it every week, but for one or two sheets. I like this printer because it can do the large print sizes, which I use once-in-awhile to print large heat transfer paper to make my own custom printed tshirts.
This past week, I noticed a problem with magenta. It had white lines when printing solid color.
I've done a few print head cleanings, careful not to do more than 2-3 before giving it a long rest. But no improvement. The magenta print pattern is missing a lot of those test marks. The other colors are fine.
I have tried to unclog by using printer cleaning solution and syringe, even heating up the solution some first. But no change.
The inks I am using are refillable from inksupply.com. They have never been responsive to support requests, so I won't be buying from them anymore due to this.
At this point, I'm thinking that perhaps my print head is no good. Weird for a relatively new printer.
Is this an easy fix? Should I look for a replacement head? What might have caused the issue?
I'd like to keep this printer if possible, but not with a faulty magenta.
Advice? Thank you.
