Brother HL-L8360CDW fuser constant cool down

After replacing the fuser in this printer I noticed the Heater lamp power Thermistor / temperature sensor ports on the board were white and blue. The connectors for this on the new fuser are white and red. Is there any significance to this difference? After just a few pages of a 10 blank page print out the printer wants to cool down indefinitely, until I turn it off for 10 to 15. It is my understanding that white is on white and in this case red is on the blue. Do I have those backwards?
