Brother printer no Detecting genuine ink

My MFc-j6510DW printer is saying it can not detect the magenta ink all of a sudden. The cartridge is half full, but I bought another genuine cartridge thinking it might fix it but it isn’t detecting the new one either. I have put it in slowly and taken all the inks out and put them back in but it still isn’t working.

Clean copper contacts on cartridge and mating cavity contacts, where you insert cartridge.
Use alcohol on soft rag
