Canon iR advanced c7065 mailbox issue?

I need to use mailboxes on a Canon iR adv c7065. All of the mailboxes on this printer came with a PIN on them despite being never used. I believe this is a glitch and if logged into the printer as a "administrator" and clicking on initialize for a mailbox does absolutely nothing, no confirmation prompt no error prompt. I read online that going into service mode with settings button pressing 2+8 and then settings button again can help. So I got into the service menu, went to copier > functions > system > and use the hd-clear to clear the 1st partition of the printer (which is supposed to be the mailbox partition) and the mailboxes still all show locked. Is there anyone that has seen this before or has any idea what can be done to resolve this?
