Our LBP5960 has a hard drive error code E602-0002 faulty HDD message I checked the otional HDD after unplugging it from the printer and the drive is blank unformatted. As this is an optional component it would be good if I could just remove the option and use the printer without it. I removed the plugin HDD module HD-98 and it still boots up fine but displays the error message the stops. It still looks for the oprion. Can anyone advise me on how to set it not to look for the HDD optiuon and run normally. Maybe how to clear the message or ignore it. Sadly I have a replacement drive that fits in this module but without a software image it is useless. A new one from Canon is way too expensive for the printer age so I'd rather just go without the option as the rest of the machine is outstanding. Anyone have any ideas on this please Regards Rod
