Canon MP220 Problem

Hi guys and gals,

I turned my printer on this morning (Canon MP220 ) ,heard a strange noise and now I have a warning on the screen saying "Check Printer" and "6000". Also the ON/OFF button and Error lights are blinking.
Now I cant print or scan. I cant find anything in the manual about "6000"
What does this mean and how can it be fixed? :confused:
