Canon Pixma MP500

I have a Canon Pixma MP 500 and after printing a document the following error appeared "The type of print head is incorrect install the correct print head". I ahve not changed anything and have tried switching off then back on again. I have removed the cartridges and replaced but the error still appears.

Anyone can help please
