Canon Pixma will not connect wirelessly to router

My Canon Pixma Mx432 will not connect to my Belkin router for wireless printing. When prompted, I push the WPS button on the router and the printer searches for a connection, but nothing happens. I'm surprised I'm not prompted to enter any router info like network name or password.
Any suggestions would really be appreciated!

WPS allows wireless devices to automatically set up a network SSID and password provided all the devices (Router and Printer in this case). Do both of your router and printer support WPS and did you press the WPS buttons on both devices?

If it still fails then maybe better to set up WPA on the router and use alternative setup on the printer to configure the same SSID and Password as on the Router.
