Canon printer won't turn on

Hello,

I have a Canon Pixma MG5350 printer. I was about to print a document when the printer powered itself off. It won't turn on again! I have checked the connections and the fuse in the plug. All OK. Has anyone experienced this? Do I need a new printer?

I have now taken my printer to a Canon-authorised repair centre. They agreed to look at it without making a charge. (Incredible these days!). They informed me that the main electronic control board, if that's the right term, had failed, and it would cost about £150 to be repaired. Needless to say it has been chucked in the recycling bin, and I bought a new MG5650 printer for £60. Hope this helps.
