Changing Regionalisation

I have a functioning Canon iP100 printer. It may need a new printhead at some time. Price in NZ is currently NZ$230, about $60 less than a new printer. Price of a printhead from the US is $NZ120 landed. Trouble is the American-sourced printhead is probably regionalised, and will not work with NZ-sourced inkjet cartridges. I could, of course, import a swag of American-sourced cartridges, but this is a pain.

Where can I legitimately obtain a regionalisation code so I can use an American-sourced printhead?

Cheers,

iP100 Regionalisation Printhead

Many thanks. A later (than my post to this forum) parallel query to Canon NZ finally got -

"This IP100 printer is designed for travellers. Like photographic products, the inks are not regionalised, so the user can travel around the world and buy inks anywhere.

Only the inks for desktop printers are regionalised"
