ECHO Show 11 Not Finding Epson Printer

I am trying to be able to print items using my new ECHO Show 11 (Alexa). However, the ECHO 11 cannot find my Epson ET-3830 on my home wi-fi. Every device i own (phone, tablet, laptop, etc) can print just fine. I've tried the connection methods recommended in the ECHO instructions without success. I have also tried using the Alexa app with the same result.

Any suggestions on helping ECHO discover my printer?

Hi,
There is a limitation of Alexa where Echo Show 11 cannot directly print or detect printers, including Epson ET-3830. You have to use a phone or computer to set up Epson's email to print.

Alexa cannot natively detect or print to network printers such as the Epson ET-3830, even when everything is on the same network. The setup steps in Amazon’s documentation apply only to very limited, older “Alexa Print” features that are no longer broadly supported and do not work with most consumer inkjet printers.

In practical terms, there is no setting you can change on the Echo, router, or Epson to make discovery work. The only viable workarounds are indirect ones: printing from another device (phone, tablet, PC), using Epson’s email-to-print feature from a device that supports it, or using Alexa merely to trigger a routine (for example, sending a document to your phone or computer, which then prints). If your goal is voice-initiated printing, that must be handled through a third device or service—Alexa itself cannot act as a standalone printing client.
