Epson CD printing

Why when I print to a CD I am unable to print to the centre aperture therefore loosing some of my image?
Have previously been able to do this but since changing to the Epson XP-8700 unable to do so despite the app allowing for this. Is there a setting on the printer itself that I am missing?
