Hi
My Epson FX-185 makes loud noise from speaker as soon as I turn it on. That should indicate out of paper. The out of paper sensor is operating correctly. I still get the noise whether or not paper is loaded. The noise is definitely coming from the speaker. I disconnected the sensor from the board, and I still get the noise whether the circuit on the board is completed or not. No bulging capacitors.
The printer was in storage for several years. No problems before. The circuit board is grungy. How to clean?
