The R280 printed a decent test page but yellow was super low, and upon replacing it, I entered this nightmare. I've tried a number of things (pulling power while the print heads was moving, removing the cartridges, leaving powered off for more than 10 minutes, etc) and both the R280 and RX580 fail with one or both of those two cartridges. I've inspected the chip contact pins on the print heads and both look perfectly fine on both machines. Bummed to see someone else with a similar problem and no resolution years later.
