My R3000 failed after 5 years and decided to replace it with a SureColor P600 with its tiny carts. The SureColor P800 has much larger carts with a substantially lower cost/mL. BUT the stated lifespan of the T850 carts according to Epson is only 6 months in the printer, which is shorter than my printing needs. I am wondering, in a climate-controlled environment how accurate Epson is, OR are they being super conservative and like many foods, the actual usable life is actually longer - perhaps even a year? OR might it be possible to remove the carts and lightly shake up the pigment particles?
