Printed a photo on plain paper no problem. However, when trying to scan/copy a document, the printed (both on scan preview and when printed) shows a horizontal band down one side which has the appearance of a giant barcode. Tried, head realignment, head clean, rebooting etc. etc. but still have same problem. ANY HELP APPRECIATED. Thanks.

Teri: Perhaps you have document on wrong side of Scanner table.
Look for "Arrow" on scanner table that indicates document corner

Assuming you set Scan to 100%, then your printer paper size is larger (in width) than scanned image.
Therefore, leaves black margin on one side of printed page
