Hello all!

I am facing an issue with Epson WorkForce Pro WF-C878R.When I have finished printing and press on the printer's panel <<Last Original>> button, only the half of the scanned document has been sent to my mail.(I am using scan-to-mail utility.)I am the only one who face this issue.(My colleagues' documents are send correctly). How can I troubleshoot this issue as IT professional?

(I mean which is the most probable scenario? a mismatch in size and format of paper? old software and hardware? misconfiguration of smtp server settings? or a failure of email client/temporary email client glitch?)

Thank you very much in advance.

Hi,
It sounds like there are a few things to check. First, make sure the document size and format match the settings on your printer, as any mismatch could cause partial scans. Also, ensure that both the printer’s firmware and the scan-to-mail utility are up to date, as outdated software can sometimes cause issues. It’s also worth double-checking your SMTP server settings to ensure they’re configured correctly. If possible, try using a different email client or device to rule out any client-specific glitches. Lastly, check your network connection, as any instability could affect the scan-to-email process.

Hey! Had a similar thing happen before, in my case, it was a paper size mismatch in the scan settings for my user profile. Check if your scan settings (like paper size or original size) are different from your colleagues’. Also wouldn’t hurt to reboot the printer and double-check your SMTP config just in case. Hope that helps!
