Epson XP 400 and non Epson ink

This printer was left in AZ over the summer with the ink still in; I changed the cartridges today (non Epson) but nothing is printing (or copying). I've cleaned the heads twice, done the nozzle checks, etc and the paper is still blank. Do you think it got damaged over the summer? Do I need to switch to epson ink? Do I just need to continue the head cleaning? Or not? Any other suggestions? THanks much!

I should add that it wasn't used at all the previous year (12 months), has been in storage.

Hard to guess. I wonder if the printer head being blocked? Deep cleaning procedure and then see if it gets better.
1. Maybe the problem lies in the printer head.
2. Maybe it is the ink cartridge you can see it yourself.
Which ink cartridges? Was the air pumped into enough?
If it is ok, show some pics. I cannot make quick decision now.

Ok , Im not sure I'm up to the deep cleaning method, although some of the utube videos are pretty clear. I've had this thing for 4 years and got it on sale for $70...maybe it's just time for a new one?
