The Epson printer I have was to replace an HP printer that had the same #@*& problem. It can have original cartridges in it and the printer says "low ink" and will not print. The ink cartridges always read "out of ink" when you can still see much ink left in it. I had just replaced original cartridges,(supposedly low in ink") still with ink left, with off brand which worked great. Then an "upgrade" came which I stupidly uploaded. Immediately it couldn't recognize the cartridges and it refused to print, just like before! I shouldn't have uploaded the "upgrade". Does anybody else have the same #%&$ problem? I used to get HP printers and they out lasted their corporate support! Awesome! No more. I wonder, if a printer has a refillable cartridge , can that be immune to "unrecognizable" cartridge messages? I hate to get another Epson printer but they are the only one that I have seen with bottles of ink to refill the printer heads. I'd pay someone on YouTube that could defeat the faulty printer sensor that makes millions for the printer ink companies. I said faulty but I think they are operating as designed to give a low ink message before they are actually empty.
