I have been looking to buy a used Epson impact printer for my Apple iMac. The problem is I can't find a way to verify that the printers are truly "N" printers. I know that the "N" stands for the "N"etwork capablity of either a 890N or 2190N printer, but the "N" is also the only versions for Apple integration. Epson (live support) does not offer any way to tell whether a machine is an "N" or not. They only suggest buying new. I found nothing in the model or serial number that makes the distinction, nor the name plate. The 890N and the 2190N are implied in the 890/2190 manual. So my question is, Is there a way (short of buying and trying- done that ) to verify the printer is Apple supported?
