Just bought a Canon PIXMA TS9550a.
Been doing some tests using some very colorful artwork, I'm trying to determine the best paper to use.
Plain paper, the colors are dull and faded and yet using glossy photo paper the colors are bold and vibrant.
I want to achieve this level of vibrancy using matte paper.

Can anyone recommend what type of paper I need, decent thickness as well, no more than 250gsm

Apologies for this very basic question but this is all new to me.

TIA

You're on the right track! To get bold colors on matte paper, try using Premium Matte Photo Paper it has a special coating that helps hold the ink better.

Stick to paper around 200–250gsm for good thickness.
You can try Canon’s Pro Premium Matte or Epson’s Presentation Matte.

Also, make sure to select “Matte Photo Paper” in your printer settings for the best results.
