How to print wirelessly without a router? (MP600R)

Hi all

I recently moved into my university dorm where the internet connection is wired.

I'd like to use my wi-fi enabled printer (Canon MP600R) to print wirelessly from my MacBook Pro, without having to connect it via a USB cable.

Is that possible, and if so, could someone please help me out? I googled it but couldn't find anything specific.

Thanks in advance!

If it has a bluetooth adapter then you simply need to activate your bluetooth adapter on your notebook and then printer.. most wireless printers don't come with the bluetooth adapter so you might have to buy one.
