HP C4280 Incompatible Cartridge Message

I am using refilled carts on C4280 printer and obviously I got the message that they were incompatible. Anyway, after watching Youtube I found a way of bypassing this error but when I turn the printer off or sometimes when I have printed a page I have to go through the same process again as the error message returns. Does anyone know how to stop the message completey after resetting the printer?
