Wanting to know if it is possible to change the settings so it will print with only the black cartridge installed. I never print in color and its pain when I run out of one of the colors and it stops printing.

Enable Black-Only or Grayscale​

1. Open Control Panel → Devices & Printers
2. Right-click your printer → Printing Preferences
3. Look for:
   • Grayscale
   • Black Ink Only
   • Print in Black
4. Apply & save

This will NOT work if the printer firmware blocks missing cartridges.
