Ink cartridge not recognised by Epson Surecolor P808

Recently I bought a Light Black cartridge (T8507) for my printer. When I changed the cartridge today, the printer could not recognise the ink. I noticed that the old cartridge has the code T8517 instead of T8507. I brought along my printer into UK from HK. Is it because they have different codes for printer sold in different countries? Is there anything I can do about that? Thanks/
