Here's the issue. I print large banners, say 10ftx3ft. Our printer (HP Designjet z6100) has a 36" wide paper roll. So for these large banners I need to print them short edge first. I send my projects to a separate print server and get a print preview before each project is printed. When I send them from corelDRAW x5 and select short edge first, it insists on sending them the wrong direction, leaving me with a poster that is proportionally correct, but the longest edge is 3ft.
When I save them as a PDF and then send them to the printer, they print correctly, and I set the settings exactly the same.
I've tried to find a solution, but since this program is not very widely used, the information on it is sparse and most of it pertains to X3.
