kodak esp 5250 not printing : (

i purchased this printer second hand. it has 50% inks left, i ran maintenance/cleaning incase inks had dryed out, seems fine, colour/black inks both working but when i went to actualy print something in type/black only it began to print the page but instantly started to fade out. any ideas/Help please.
