Language change EPSON LQ-300K+II

Hi, dear members,

I am trying to change the language on EPSON LQ-300K+II from Chinese to English with no success. In the manual it is said that pressing Auto Tear-off button and powering on, the printer will print language change instructions, but instead of that it prints the default settings. Any ideas how to fix this issue?
